Someone on Twitter shared this with me . It's an endless runner featuring children in the West Bank running through rubble and burning cars.
From the designed:
"When you are a child living under occupation, all you can do is dream of a better tomorrow. You run to keep hope alive. Toward victory, toward freedom, toward light. You run despite the seemingly endless struggle. Leading Lights portrays truly free Palestinian children that shine in the face of oppression."
I've been told by people that endless runners are popular in the West Bank. You have to wonder if it's partly because the mechanic - forever running towards a seemingly unattainable goal - strikes home. It's poignant to see a game running through rubble. I'm going to track down the creator and ask about it.
Update:
So it looks like the idea came from Anas Koshak, who hired Bara Jallad to make the game.
